We value these long-standing relationships with all our sales partners, and enjoyed spending time with Erik Jennsen of Van der Heide throughout the conference.
LEC’s star of the show at StocExpo continues to be the
Retractable Grounding Assembly (RGA). The RGA is the leading solution for bonding
floating roof storage tanks, protecting the tank and its contents from the dangers of static and lightning strikes by keeping the tank roof and shell at the same potential. LEC introduced the RGA in 1997, and today there are over 17,000 RGA’s in service worldwide. The RGA is the globally preferred solution due to its durable construction that seals the spring chamber, a super strong spring that applies a high level of tension to keep the conductor tight and unwavering even in heavy winds, and a conductor that provides the lowest impedance path in our industry.
Over 1,600 RGA’s are in service in Europe alone. EU tank operators, known for their attention to detail in engineering and performance in the technology they use, are strong proponents of LEC’s RGA and count on it to keep their facilities safe and operating properly through the storm.
Meaningful technical discussions with our partners also gave our team the opportunity to share our comprehensive lineup of offerings to avoid direct lighting strikes and manage the secondary effects of nearby strikes. In addition to our lightning protection and avoidance products, we provide expert site assessments and consulting services tailored to the risk profiles of each operation, make recommendations, and then manufacture and install the customized engineered system to ensure lightning-related risks are minimized or eliminated.
The
2025 StocExpo was well attended and gave us an excellent venue to showcase our innovative technology. Our engineers, with a total of over 160 years of combined experience in lightning avoidance, are a valuable resource to tap for better understanding the unique needs of your facility and keeping your operations running through the storm.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2026!
